Good morning once again! We have more photos from the Anthracite crew during their assignment on wildfires.
On August 11 the crew boss informed us that the crew saved a litter of kittens while doing structure protection, punctuated with a simple "does it get any better than that?"
This one is on the line, at the head of the Lee Fire looking north with 137,485 of burn behind them. This fire was Colorado's fifth largest fire on record.
"The crew on their way home enjoying a well-deserved lunch break with Colorado style "mountain pie" pizza on the wat home in Idaho Springs, Colorado. After 11 of 14 days spent in remote spike camps they showered and cleaned up a bit for the trip home." Anthracite returned to Pennsylvania on Saturday August 23.
